The entire team at Tidewater Orthodontics would like to say THANK YOU to Mary Clay, for her many years of hard work. Mary will be retiring at the beginning of March.
We had a chance to ask Mary a few questions about her experience at our office:
Q: How long have you been with the company?
A: Not long enough!
Q: What different positions have you had while with the company?
A: I started as a receptionist which was enjoyable and then I was given the opportunity to be the New patient coordinator, which I am today. I love my job!
Q: With that said, what is the favorite part of your job?
A: That I get to meet all of our patients and form a bond with them. I think that they see me not only as a mother figure but a grandmother in some cases which helps to make them feel comfortable. I will truly miss all my little friends and seeing them grow up and change into teenagers and adults.
Q: What will you miss most about coming to work every day?
A: The friendships I have formed over the years with my coworkers! I can honestly say that I love everyone here! And my patients of course.
Q: what are your plans for retirement?
A: well I’m going to spend a lot more time with my 3 grandchildren which I can’t wait for!
-I’m going to volunteer at my church
-Enjoy simple things like the early and late night news
-Drive down to North Carolina with Bebe girl (my dog) to visit family.
-Eat ice cream for lunch and not get on a scale!
In addition, we asked our staff members what they will miss most about Mary:
Janet A.(Office Manager): I will remember her playing follow the leader with all the younger patients to make them feel comfortable and how she always seemed to be humming a cheerful tune.
Donna: I will always remember this one Fun Day that we had years ago when we took a cruise down the Lynnhaven River. Mary, Rose and I just had a blast we laughed the entire time! Just thinking about it puts a smile on my face.
Judy P.: She is so friendly, cheerful and caring towards are patients! I will miss her happy face!
From the doctors:
She is fantastic and we are truly going to miss her and wish her all the best! We hope that she enjoys her time with family and maybe she can pop in every once in awhile to catch us up on her life. We would like to say THANK YOU for all the many years you have given to this company know that you left very large shoes to fill and try as we might we will not be able to do so. Our patients will miss you and smiles that you brought to each of their faces. Good luck and God Bless!
